Earth - Webquests

Do you know the name of the 9 planets in the galaxy called the Milky Way? You will visit the various planets using the internet in order to answer the question; "Why is Earth the Only Planet You Can Live On?"

NASA has decided that your class will be the first class sent on a field trip to space. NASA is willing to send you to Venus, Jupiter, or Mars. You and your classmates will have to work together to decide which planet you would like to visit, and why.

Planets - Webquests

This WebQuest will ask you to solve many of the same problems that scientists and engineers struggled with in their quest to get a man to the moon. Instead of traveling to the moon, however, you will be organizing a trip to one of the other eight planets in our solar system.

Your teams mission is to gather information about your assigned planet so you can present your findings to Mission Control. You will then present your findings as team to Mission Control along with a model of the planet you are investigating.

Your task will be to thoroughly research an assigned planet and to make plans for a space mission to conduct new research. Your team will present your information and ideas to the NASA Board of Directors, in hopes of receiving the available funds. Remember, your team will be competing against other top space experts. In addition to presenting to the Board of Directors, the team must write their research and ideas in a brief summary and fulfill the team responsibilities. Good Luck!
