The water cycle:- The water cycle describes how water molecules make their way from the Earth's surface to the atmosphere, and back again.
Water Cycle:- An interactive version of the Water Cycle. Pupils are able to access animations showing exactly what is happening to the water molecules at each stage of the process - helping to develop their knowledge and understanding.
Water Purification Process:- The pupils are able to follow the water on its way through a water treatment works. They are able to look at each part of the purification process in detail, examining how impurities are removed.
The Water Time Gallery:- The pupils use pictures on the wall of the interactive gallery to access information about the supply of drinking water to people over the years. This look back in time makes the pupils appreciate a constant supply of safe drinking water.

What are clouds and why does it rain?:- This module from the London Grid for Learning uses animated diagrams, easy-to-read text and scientific experiments to demonstrate the stages of the water cycle. There are discussion topics, questions to be answered and observations to be made in personal notebooks.

They are aimed at year 9 students (ages 13/14), but can be used with both older and younger students. There are 3 different kinds of pages: fact sheets, activities and answers.
