Christmas: a multicultural festival
The Cultural and Recreation Portal contains a number of useful articles on cultural topics and events. Their Christmas page provides an excellent starting point for teachers and students researching the background to Christmas in Australia. Topics covered include the religious story, pagan traditions that have become part of the Christmas celebration, and more recent Australian themes.
The sites have been arranged in categories. Users will find that many sites are very comprehensive, often going beyond the category headings. The page includes a category "Australian School's Christmas pages".
Ten little snowmen
This interactive reading book at Starfall is designed for the very young reader. The reader drags objects onto the snowman to dress it in response to written instructions on the screen, and then is rewarded with a song and a printable certificate.
Welcome to festive season activities for kids
This site was designed to provide on and off-line activities for Junior-Middle primary school students relating to Christmas and the Holiday season. K-3 Themes at Enchanted Learning: Christmas crafts

How is Christmas celebrated around the world
This WebQuest is designed for 6 graders at elementary schools to increase their knowledge and understanding about how Christmas is celebrated around the world. This project also encourages their foreign language learning and collaborative work.
